Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to OwtSourced ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our platform at owtsourced.co.uk (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

OwtSourced Ltd is registered in England and Wales. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Definitions

  • "Customer" means any person who books a service through the Platform.
  • "Provider" means any individual or business offering services through the Platform.
  • "Booking" means a confirmed service booking made through the Platform.
  • "Service Fee" means the platform fee charged to facilitate a Booking.

3. Platform Role

OwtSourced is a marketplace platform that connects Customers with independent Providers. We do not employ Providers and are not responsible for the services they deliver. Each Provider operates as an independent contractor. OwtSourced facilitates the introduction, payment, and administration of Bookings but is not a party to the service contract between Customer and Provider.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use the Platform. By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

5. Bookings and Payment

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing a Booking, you authorise OwtSourced to collect payment on behalf of the Provider. Funds are held by Stripe for up to 7 days following job completion before being released to the Provider, subject to no active dispute or claim.

Prices displayed include our platform fee. The exact breakdown of the base service price and platform fee is shown at checkout.

6. Cancellation Policy

Exceptions: If the Provider cancels, or if we cancel due to a force majeure event, a full refund is always issued regardless of notice period. If a Customer declines a Provider's revised quote, a full refund is also issued.

7. No-Show Policy

If a Provider fails to arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time and has not marked themselves as "En Route" or "Arrived", you may report a no-show via your booking dashboard. A full refund will be issued automatically and the Provider will receive a formal strike. Providers who accumulate 2 strikes within 90 days will be suspended; 3 strikes result in permanent removal. Affected Customers will receive a £10 goodwill credit valid for 90 days.

8. Quality Guarantee

If you are dissatisfied with a completed service, you may file a claim within 48 hours of job completion. You must provide 3–5 photos and a written explanation. The Provider has 24 hours to respond. Our team will review both sides and make a binding decision within 48 hours. Depending on the outcome, a full or partial refund may be issued.

9. Provider Obligations

Providers must:

  • Hold valid public liability insurance of at least £1 million.
  • Accurately describe their services and pricing on the Platform.
  • Arrive on time and carry out work to a professional standard.
  • Not solicit Customers to transact outside of the Platform.
  • Comply with all applicable UK laws, including employment, tax, and data protection legislation.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews.
  • Attempt to circumvent the Platform to avoid service fees.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
  • Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including text, logos, graphics, and software — is owned by or licensed to OwtSourced Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute this content without our prior written consent.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OwtSourced's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss of profits or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
